Organic Kokuho Rose® Brown (454 g)

UPC: 0 74823 20083 1

Organic Kokuho Rose® Brown (454 g)
  • Grown in USA
  • GlutenFree

Though much like White Organic Kokuho Rose® sticky rice, Brown Kokuho Rose® is slightly different in that it possesses a richer, nuttier flavour as a result of the bran left intact on the grain, which also makes it higher in vitamins and minerals.

This heirloom variety medium-grain rice is grown exclusively on Koda Farms, unlike Koda’s others, which are licenced to select Californian farmers.

Since Koda Farms is a small farm, there is not a lot of supply of this variety, and we’re lucky we can get any. If you are out to impress, cook this rice. This is the only Kokohu rice that is guaranteed organic. Like a fine wine, our superior gourmet rice offers the complexities and subtleties that distinguish it from the norm. Kokuho Rose® averages less than 2% broken kernels, while the industry standard is 4% broken kernels. Certified organic by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers), this limited-edition organic rice is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate, ensuring a taste experience that is truly memorable.

Inspired by the legend of “Three Sacred Treasures”, Keisaburo Koda created the Kokuho Rose® logo to honour his family. Mythological inspiration starts with the eight-sided mirror symbolizing self-reflection. This mirror shows one the true nature of the soul. Placed at the base of this mirror is a heavenly sword. With strength and sharpness the bearer of this sword is able to act with knowledge and swift decision. The spiritual jewels of gentleness and amiability are placed next to the sword, as the logo is finished off with the Kanji characters of Kokuho, or “Treasure of the Country”. More importantly for you, these characters mean the bag is filled with rice “of the utmost quality”.
